Delete your Peak Streak account and data

You can request permanent deletion of your Peak Streak account and associated personal data at any time. Account deletion cannot be undone after the active account record is removed. It is available even if you have an active subscription.

Delete in the app

  1. Open Peak Streak and select the You tab.
  2. Open Settings.
  3. Select Delete account & data.
  4. Review the consequences and confirm Delete account and data.

Deletion from live Peak Streak systems begins when the request is accepted. The app removes the account workspace on the device that starts deletion. Another device connected to the same account must remove its account workspace when it next receives the deletion state; it cannot use an old local copy to recreate the deleted account.

Provider-side deletion jobs may complete after the login is removed. The request must remain recorded as pending until required processor instructions have succeeded or reached a verified lawful exception. A temporary technical failure is retried rather than silently treated as completed.

Request deletion without the app

Email support@peakstreak.app with the subject “Delete my Peak Streak account”. You may write from any address. Using the address linked to the account usually makes verification faster, but it is not the only permitted route. If needed, we ask only for information reasonably necessary to verify that the request concerns you. Do not send identity documents unless we specifically request them.

We respond without undue delay and ordinarily within one calendar month after receiving the request and any information reasonably required for verification. If a request is complex or you make multiple requests, applicable law may allow an extension of up to two further months; if so, we explain it within the first month.

Delete specific data without deleting the account

You can change or remove optional profile details and photos in the app. To request deletion of other specific data while keeping the account, email support and identify the data. We delete, restrict or de-identify it where applicable. We do not keep an account identifier merely to preserve a database relationship or shared Crew history; where another member's record must remain, the deleted user's identifier must be removed unless a specific legal exception applies.

Local-only guest data

A guest workspace that was never connected to an account is stored on the device and cannot be located by support. Use the app's local reset control where available, clear the app's storage in device settings or uninstall the app. Copies in an Apple or Google device backup are controlled by the corresponding operating-system backup settings.

What account deletion removes

  • the Peak Streak login, linked Apple sign-in authorisation where applicable, profile, optional profile photo or background, privacy choices, preferences and active push-token registration;
  • challenge, Journey and event participation; commitments, check-ins, logs, streaks, reflections, rewards and progress tied to the account;
  • Friends and invitations; private Feed notes and reactions; blocks and other account-linked social data, subject only to a specific safety or legal exception;
  • the Peak Streak identifier and purchase-entitlement profile held by RevenueCat, without cancelling a store subscription or deleting the store's independent transaction record;
  • linked processor data that we control and are required to erase or de-identify; and
  • the local account workspace on connected devices under the deletion-state mechanism described above. A different person's separate workspace on the same device is not deleted.

Shared Crew history is different from private account content. To keep another member's Team Day, streak and Capsule correct, a membership and day fact may remain under the label Deleted member. The account UUID, profile, commitment payload and private Feed content are removed. This record is pseudonymised, not guaranteed anonymous: people in a small Crew may still infer from context who previously participated.

Providers and encrypted backups

We instruct processors and, where required, notify other recipients of the erasure unless this is impossible or would involve disproportionate effort. Apple and Google independently control their store account, payment, tax and transaction records, so a Peak Streak deletion cannot erase those records.

Encrypted backups may retain a protected copy until it is overwritten under the verified backup schedule. During that period the data is put beyond ordinary use and is not used to recreate the account. If a disaster-recovery restore occurs before the copy expires, the deletion instruction must be reapplied before restored data returns to ordinary processing. The Privacy Policy explains our retention criteria.

What may lawfully remain

  • Safety and moderation records: a restricted copy needed to resolve a specific outstanding report, protect another person or investigate serious abuse, kept only while necessary under the applicable retention rule.
  • Security, legal and accounting records: minimal information required to investigate fraud, establish or defend a claim, comply with tax or accounting duties, or respond to a lawful authority request.
  • Anonymous aggregate information: information that can no longer identify or be linked back to you. Pseudonymised shared Crew history is described separately above and is not represented as anonymous.
  • Independent store records: purchase, subscription, tax and transaction records controlled by Apple or Google under their own retention rules.

Subscriptions are separate

Deleting the account or uninstalling the app does not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription. Cancel future renewals separately through the store that billed you:

Cancellation stops future renewals. Access normally continues until the end of the paid period, unless the store or mandatory law provides otherwise. Contact support if the billing store directs you to the developer or you need help with a mandatory consumer right.
